Getting to and from school

Be good neighbors!

At no time should driveways be blocked. Do not use “No Outlet” streets, Hamptondale or Chatfield (west of school), for pick-up as vehicles using our neighbors’ driveway to turn around is not courteous and is a nuisance to our Hubbard Woods neighbors. Please see the map.

Kindergarten Drop Off and Pick Up

Kindergarten teachers will convey specific instructions to their classes. Some kindergarten classes will use the Kindergarten turn-around on Gordon Terrace and other classes pick up and drop off in front of the main entrance. Teachers will meet students at the cars and guide them to the playground for drop off and bring your K students to the car for dismissal.

By Car

1st-4th parents dropping off or picking up their children by car should use the assigned drop-off areas: A-L at the front of the school on Chatfield and M-Z on the south side of the school on Laurel. A-L should enter via Chatfield at Green Bay Road. No turn-offs are allowed from Vine or Burr. M-Z should enter via Laurel and may not utilize Burr.

Walking

If students need to cross Tower Road, please do so with the crossing guard at Tower and Gordon Terrace. Cross other streets only at marked crosswalks.

Biking/Scootering

Only 3rd and 4th grade students may bike alone to school. K-2nd graders may ride only if accompanied by a parent or guardian. 2nd graders will be given a bike safety test in Spring, and then will be able to bike to school alone. Bike racks are located around the school. Walk bikes across crosswalks and on school grounds. Helmets are required.
