Thank You Hubbard Woods!

World Travelers Indonesia!
Join us as World Travelers takes Hubbard Woods on a journey to Indonesia! Students will learn fun facts about the tropical country including the best places to visit, its role in the discovery of the Americas and meet some really cute, but endangered, animals.
There is no need to sign up for World Travelers, as all students will have an opportunity to view a presentation in class that was created by a fellow Hubbard Woods parent, Louisa Balach. They can test their newfound knowledge out by filling out a quiz and turning it in to their teacher. 6 randomly selected students who turn in a completed quiz can win a special prize!
Want to join in on the fun at home? Click on the links below to:
-Take the World Travelers Quiz on Indonesia and turn it in at school for a chance to win a prize!

Thank you to Louisa Balach for sharing her heritage with our Hubbard Woods School community and thanks to all for joining us as we reimagine World Travelers again this year! Any questions? Contact Hubbard Woods PTO.
4th Grade Farewell 2022!

The Fourth Grade Farewell is a wonderful Winnetka tradition. A time for all of our 4th graders to say goodbye to elementary school and begin their next chapter. We are excited to be able to celebrate this milestone at Hubbard Woods on Tuesday, June 7!

CREDIT for Missed Kiddos Lunches During Quarantine

Going forward, we will provide you with a Kiddos credit for any lunches you have ordered for dates where the Wednesday noon cancellation window has passed. As always, any dates which are still available to cancel can be done on your online account and a credit is automatically provided. So while we aren’t able to cancel the orders with the restaurants after the Wednesday noon deadline and they will be delivered to school, you will still receive a courtesy Kiddos credit for them.
For the dates too late to cancel, all you need to do is contact us at support@kiddoscatering.com and let us know the following information: School Name, Account Holder Name, Student Name, Quarantine Dates and Dates lunches ordered (within the quarantine dates that are unavailable to cancel online).
Once we receive your information, we will provide a courtesy credit on your Kiddos account. The credit will be auto applied during the checkout the next time you place a lunch order. Now you can order with confidence!
Thank you,
Kiddos Lunch Team
Hubbard Woods Winter Showcase!
Wow! The Winter Showcase was such a special treat for our community. We are incredibly grateful to our students, staff and parent volunteers for the creativity, time, ingenuity, work, and energy that was dedicated to this project. What a wonderful example of progressive education and the meaningful learning experiences that our school offers.
Here is a brief tour of the Winter Showcase for those unable to attend, or who want to watch again: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Fdxnx6KNrdhdRqvr-Wvpr7kYjn4HlAW/view

World Travelers learned about Colombia!
The World Travelers program is a special Hubbard Woods tradition which has taken on various forms over time. Our first World Travelers experience was the week of October 18 when we “traveled” to Colombia with the Shideler family!
Click Here to view the Colombia Travelogue if you want to catch up on what your child has learned!
Students will have opportunities at school and through Schoology posts to learn about a particular country for a given week three times throughout the year. We will not be serving lunches this year but have many special experiences in store! Parents will also be provided with optional activities to do at home with your family. Stay tuned for more details on our next “trip!”
