2025/26 Updates
The Hubbard Woods PTO at Work
Every year, the Hubbard Woods PTO grants teacher and grade level requests for small grants for supplies, tools, and resources to help make our classrooms welcoming, inclusive, and productive spaces for learning and growing.
Here are some of the grants we have funded this year with your help:
2025/26 Updates
Learning Lab — Tunnels, Mats, Weighted Blocks & Sensory Toys Our Learning Lab supports small group instruction, intervention, and students with a range of learning needs. This year's grant brought in sensory tools and movement-friendly equipment to help every student feel comfortable, regulated, and ready to engage.
Peterson (K) — Social-Emotional Learning Books A carefully selected collection of books focused on emotions, relationships, and self-awareness is helping kindergartners build the social-emotional foundation they need to thrive. These stories open up important conversations and give young learners the words to express how they feel.
First Grade — New Toys to Support ARC Studies Units 1–3 Every first grade classroom received the same set of hands-on materials — animal figurines, wood blocks, books, and puzzles — to bring their ARC curriculum units to life. These open-ended tools encourage curiosity, creativity, and deeper engagement with the content.
Tropp (2) — Wiggle Stools Wiggle stools give second graders the ability to move while they work, which makes a bigger difference than you might expect. They help improve posture, support focus, and reduce the restlessness that can make it hard for kids to settle into learning.
Rosinski (3) & Ellis (2) — Soft Start Materials Starting the school day with a calm, low-pressure transition sets students up for success. These classroom bins — stocked with brain flakes, puzzles, pixel art, and Magnatiles — give kids a welcoming way to ease into the morning before the day gets going.
